Soft Eyes: A Daily Self-Reg Journal for Stress and Resilience

Soft Eyes is a collection of 122 bite-sized daily reflections exploring stress, energy, restoration, and resilience, inspired by the work of Stuart Shanker.

Created by educator Susan Hopkins and illustrator Kristin Wiens, Soft Eyes brings together quotations, short reflections, a mull question, and original artwork in a format designed to be read, discussed, and returned to again and again.

Designed to be read in just a few minutes a day, each reflection offers an opportunity to pause, think, and connect the science of stress and resilience with everyday life. Read one page on your own, discuss it over coffee, use it to spark a team conversation, explore it with a book club, or bring it into professional learning. Whether you're discovering Self-Reg for the first time or have been learning with Stuart Shanker for years, Soft Eyes offers an accessible way to explore these ideas, one page at a time.
